Question
Answer
Action to What We Learned

02-09-2023 04:14 PM How did you add up the bid? Added it up by individual sites
02-09-2023 04:14 PM Who won the majority of the bid and why? All even by number of sites
02-09-2023 04:14 PM Were our solution recommendations on target? Why or why not? Each vendor won 2 sites
02-09-2023 04:14 PM What did your vendor sourcing process look like? Had 4 total vendors and two of them were brand new that had not previously worked with HD.  We were told they had a VERY low rate.
02-09-2023 04:14 PM Looking back on what we were awarded, do you feel we could have done anything different to be awarded more sites? (additional discounts, more precise specs that effect pricing, DMG recommended scope vs client scope) HD had a couple New vendors that dropped their prices pretty low and HD was awarding by total overall price by site.  The CT and AL sites were grossly over scoped.  I think we could have maybe pushed back on the field more on these two sites.
02-09-2023 04:14 PM What did we do well? What could we have done better? He said the I (Ben) askeda ton of great questions.  He said there wasn't much more we could have done better, but that he could have been more precise and wished he had time for a second round.  He said that was on him.
02-09-2023 04:14 PM Who made the decision (we should know this in the bid process will validate it post RFP)? Mithcells team made recommendation to Lauren Frazier teams and they passed down their recommendation to MM's and it got signed off as long as MM's had no objections
02-09-2023 04:14 PM In what areas could the RFP team improve their process? Overall it is a thorough process
02-09-2023 04:14 PM Any advice on earning business in the future – we want to stay top of mind if your vendor fails. Said we did well and came recommended by NJ that bodes well for future business.
02-09-2023 04:14 PM What part of the bid could we have been more competitive on? We were competitive on every site except for the CT and AL sites.  On these sites we were told we wre more than double the cost of the nearest competitor.  I believe we were overscoped on these sites.
02-09-2023 04:14 PM Do you feel as if the RFP team communicated information effeciently between the NAT team and field team? Yes, good communication was evident throughout process.
02-09-2023 04:14 PM Did our team clearly articulate our value proposition? Yes, we were on point with our services and value prop
02-09-2023 04:14 PM Do you feel as if the RFP team conducted the RFP process on time? Yes.  Given the time allotted itwent really well
02-09-2023 04:14 PM Lot Sweeping will not be awarded to DMG… we are out of the ballpark on pricing.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
