02-17-2023 General Note     Open The awarding of the HVAC Bids will be done similar to prior bids as they will be based on regional and site locations. So, you may win bids based on the locations you submit pricing. If you have the winning bid in multiple locations, you will awarded those multiple locations or if you have competitive bids in a certain region you can be awarded the business in that regional area only.

Question
Answer
Action to What We Learned

06-12-2023 11:12 AM   We think HVAC pricing was in line

06-12-2023 11:12 AM   We were 25% to 50% high on price for doors– Bid sheet requested cost per pm and itemized rates
06-12-2023 11:12 AM   Scorecard was at Ds and Fs across the board with the only A for invoicing on time
06-12-2023 11:12 AM   They do a lot of bundling on doors – ie 1-5 doors is 700$ flat we were at 400$ for one
06-12-2023 11:12 AM   HVAC and overhead doors were both denied at the same time
06-12-2023 11:12 AM   We are competing against self-performers – Powerhouse, Farendino, pleasant valley, train, siemens, DH pace
06-12-2023 11:12 AM
SE feels we did great on the sales side – SE feels CBRE did not treat us well – drug us along for six months and told us we were going to win the bid. Cedric parker and jimmy wolf did this to us.

06-12-2023 11:12 AM   Our service was a big factor in the decision – account struggled operationally until recent AM took over – there were 6 month old work orders that the SE had to go back and fix
06-12-2023 11:12 AM   What would we do differently? Go in more strategic on margin because fedex looks only at price. Go in at a low price and try to use levers/invoicing strategies to make up the margin.
06-12-2023 11:12 AM   Customer is okay with red lines on the contract
06-12-2023 11:12 AM   They told us they were trying to award by state
06-12-2023 11:12 AM   We are getting 3rd position workorders for HVAC and overhead doors currently
06-12-2023 11:12 AM   Data feedback – get more granular with the data – handyman is too broad, construction is too broad, overhead doors is too broad

Items in the new table are called:

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
