Subject: EXTERNAL - Albertsons Snow Removal RFP - Seattle and Haggen Divisions

Good afternoon All,

Albertsons sincerely appreciates your participation in the Seattle and Haggen Divisions Snow Removal Request for Proposal (RFP). We understand the significant time and effort invested in preparing and submitting your proposal.

After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that Albertsons has decided not to award your company with service contracts at any of the included locations. While pricing was a major consideration (some of your pricing was higher or lower than the selected vendors), the Division believes their selections present the best fit for Albertsons Companies at this time. We value your support throughout this process and genuinely thank you for your effort.

Please be assured that your company remains on our list of invited bidders for future RFPs. We hope to engage with you in upcoming opportunities where your expertise and capabilities may align more closely with our requirements.

Additionally, should there be any changes in the final award status, such as another supplier not accepting their award offer, Albertsons will promptly reach out to you for further discussion.

Once again, thank you for your participation and we look forward to the possibility of partnering in the future.

09-19-2023 General Note     Open Customer said that our second round pricing is still too high, built a comparison file to show where we stand overall on the 2 divisions new bid vs old bid. Sent that file over to the sales team waiting on feedback from Chris Hansen

Went back into calls with Matt Alley and Dan Schafer, realigned our pricing by changing efficiencies and adjusting overall margin

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
